Its two regulated utilities in South Carolina – Duke Energy Carolinas and Duke Energy Progress – combined serve about 730,000 electric customers in 28 of the state’s 46 counties.

Duke Energy is powering South Carolina with more than electricity. In 2015, the utility donated more than $1.7 million to nonprofit organizations throughout the state through the Duke Energy Foundation. The Duke Energy economic development team helps power South Carolina and its economy through significant business recruitment and retention initiatives. In 2015, Duke Energy helped recruit more than $1.2 billion in capital investment and over 3,200 new jobs to South Carolina. Since 2005, a dedicated team of experts recruited customers with capital investment of approximately $12 billion. Those efforts produced more than 33,000 associated jobs for the state.
