Event Description: Presented by the Greenville Area Small Business Development Center with Mike Okupinski and Ed Buffington of Community Tap and Doug Lineberry of McNair Law Firm. The Greenville Area Small Business Development Center is hosting a copyright and intellectual property workshop for prospective and new small business owners. The workshop will be held from 3:00PM to 5:00PM on April 6th. The workshop will be held at The Community Tap at 217 Wade Hampton Blvd, Greenville, SC 29609. This workshop is designed to give entrepreneurs and small business owners the knowledge and tools needed to protect the most valuable asset and integrity of their business. At the end of this workshop, you will be able to obtain a clear understanding of what is intellectual property and do you need it, identify issues generally found in patents, trade secrets, copyrights, and trademarks and obtain helpful resources for guidance.
